Seneca Novak Obituary

Novak, Seneca
1984 - 2017
Seneca Lee Novak, passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 from the battle she just could not win. Seneca was born on a beautiful, sunny June 2, 1984 in Columbus, Ohio, to her parents Kim House Novak and Tim (Margie) Novak. From the start she filled her family and friends' lives with beauty, fun, silliness, determination and above all love. She is survived by her beloved son, Caleb, Parents, Brother Nick (Monika), Niece Isabella, Nephews Lucas, Simon and Miles Novak, caring Cousins, Aunts and Uncles and many, many friends. One of her oldest Clintonville friends said of her "Sen was a great person and she helped a ton of people. She always made people laugh and was able to point out the positives in any situation. She helped her friends, especially the women and men in treatment that she lived with in the Portsmouth, Ohio recovery community. No one chooses to struggle with addiction, just like no one chooses to struggle with cancer or diabetes. Seneca was a clever, creative, optimistic woman and we are all grateful that she chose to shine some of that light on us." Daughter, mother, sister, friend, she will be missed. Be kind, be loving and be compassionate to all.
A Celebration of Seneca's Spirit will be held Sunday, Nov. 5th, 2017 from 1-4pm at the Floral Valley Center in Apple Valley, 850 Crestrose Dr., Howard, Ohio, 43028. If you wish Contributions will be accepted at US Bank for her son Caleb Abbott Novak's college education to help Change Addiction.

Tonight I light a candle for you. I had the pleasure of knowing you basically since birth. I babysat you and Nick and I must say it was a great experience. I have many fond memories including the time we vacationed together both of our families to Sea World and a wonderful cabin. I never forget absolutely loving your name! Seneca what a beautiful unique name that so fit you. You were and are so very special to so many. My heart breaks that all of us only had a short time with you but oh did it change each of our lives and added to it. I will always remember your carefree happy attitude overall about life and what it gives ya. We all fight the fight. Now my precious girl you are at peace. Be the angel we always knew you were and watch over your son and family. RIH Seneca Lee Novak. Love always and forever
