My deepest condolences and prayers for comfort go to the family. I appreciated Shane's kindness when I taught with him at Granville. He also was a strong, positive influence in my children's lives, teaching my daughter for a year and coaching my son for four years and teaching him for two. He had a great rapport with so many of the young people at GHS and I hope he realized his impact.

My sincerest condolences to the family,So sorry to hear about Shane.I moved from Canada to Ohio.I started at the schools and Shane made me so very welcome to the Granville School.We did have lots of good times together and I will never forget him.the jokes we would play on the other staff.We was like two kids having fun.Shane I miss you then, and miss you now.RIP MY DEAR FRIEND.You was one of a kind.

My deepest condolences to Mr. Huck's family.
Mr. Huck was one of those people you could count on when the entire world seemed to be against you. You could also count on him to wear cowboy boots to class and possibly throw an expo marker. As a former student, I could sing his praises as a teacher, but I am particularly proud to have called him a friend.
I hope we can all take comfort in the fact that he is at peace now.

I am so saddened by your loss, I am so sorry we can't be there to hug you all, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. I only knew Shane as a young boy but he was always a joy to be around, and brought much joy to Eric and Erin, we love you all very much! Talk about him often I promise that will be the best medicine to ease your pain!!

Mr. Huck was one of my favorite teachers, and colleague after I had the chance to work with him at the school district. My sincerest condolences to the family, he was a wonderful man, and will be greatly missed!

The Markel family, Pat, Patty, Ryan, Scott, and Libby, (Jeff and Jake's relatives) send our deepest sympathy. We watched years of Watkins football and our boys looked up to the Huck, and the gang. We followed Huck's life through Jeff and Jake's stories about the grand times they have shared over the many years of friendship they enjoyed. I can't imagine your grief, but know Huck has left a positive legacy with countless young people. He will be missed.

Mr. Huck was one of a kind. A teacher with the ability to connect with his students and bring out the best in them. His influence and kind heart will have a never ending presence in my life. He will be sincerely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I am shocked and saddend by Shane's sudden passing. We always had a great time together and he left this earth way too soon. Heaven gained one heck of a man, father, brother, son, coach, teacher & friend. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

If it hadn't been for Mr. Huck i wouldn't have graduated with my class. He offered to tutor me in math so I could pass a test and get the credit so I could graduate. Mr Huck was an amazing teacher and a beautiful person. I am so sad to hear of his passing. Mr. Huck, you helped make me the person I am today and you were always one of my favorite teachers. You will be dearly missed. I hope you and your family knows how valued you were by your students. Rest in peace and know we will never forget you.

Shane and I shared conversations about teaching and education in general. His perspective as an educator made me more aware as a parent and partner in my children's education. Shane made a difference in his student's lives. May that be his lasting legacy.
