The Compassionate Friends is an international grief support group for parents,
grandparents and siblings who have suffered the heartbreaking loss of a child. Our
only mission is to provide comfort, hope and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or daughter, brother or sister, or grandchild, and to help others better assist the grieving family. We meet monthly in Columbus from 7-9 PM on the second Tuesday
of each month at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1479 Morse Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229.

I remember meeting Shawna the first time when we were getting ready for her cousin's wedding. She made me smile, and laugh, I enjoyed the time I got to spend with her.
My prayers are with the families that have lost an amazing wife, mother, and daughter.

In my heart and mind Shawna will always be the little girl that ran back and forth between my and Teresa's homes with my daughter, Chelsea Perkins-Cahill when they were in 6th - 7th grade.
