Stella Doulis Kozyris

KOZYRIS Stella Doulis Kozyris, age 73, a longtime resident of Upper Arlington, passed away Monday, November 9, 2009 at Whetstone Care Center. She was born February 15, 1936 in Monessen, Pa., the daughter of John and Argiro (Stradis) Doulis. Stella was a retired certified public accountant. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Maria and Tim Rankin, and Kynthia and Bryan Droesch; beloved Yia-Yia to, Nicholas, Maxwell, Alex, Stella and Leona, all of Upper Arlington; brother, Thomas (Nancy) Doulis, of Portland, Ore.; other relatives and many friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Paraskevi Doulis. Stella was a member of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She was an avid bridge player; active in the Chamber Music Society, Hellenic Heritage Society, International Dining Club, several book clubs and loved gardening and traveling. Family and friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, where Triasgion Service will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Service 11:30 a.m. Friday, November 13, 2009 at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 555 North High Street, Columbus with The Rev. Michael Kontos Jr. and Rev.
