Steven DiSario Obituary

DiSario Officer Steven "Eric" DiSario, was born in Salem, Ohio on February 2, 1979. His life was tragically taken on Friday, May 12, 2017 while serving as the Chief of Police in Kirkersville. He was 38 years old. Eric was a devoted husband to his beautiful wife, Aryn (Armintrout); and a doting dad to Olivia, Braydon, Grace, Chloe, Kameron and Lilliana whom is soon to be born. He will be deeply missed by his parents; mother, Robin (Dale) Walker; dad, Thomas (Belinda) DiSario; mother-in-law, Patricia (Joseph Lytle) Armintrout; father-in-law, Robert (Vickie) Armintrout. Eric was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Clinton J. Long and Wilma J. Long, as well as his paternal grandparents Thomas J. DiSario, Sr. and Verna (DiSario) Burns. He was also preceded in death by an uncle Robert W. Long. Eric was survived by two stepbrothers, Joshua (Laticia) Walker and William (Jen) Dorr; two stepsisters, Mandy Pelfrey and Marian (Alan) Marchior; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Eric was very loved by all of his friends, neighbors, and the community. As well as Eric working as a police chief, he also worked for ImproveIt Home Remodeling for the last 3 years. He is a 1997 graduate of Washington City Schools in Washington Court House, Ohio, as well as receiving his Bachelor Degree from DeVry University in Business Technical Management. He was a part of the DARE program while in high school. Along with being a boy scout, Eric also earned his Eagle Scout badge. Prior to becoming the Police Chief of Kirkersville, Eric had also been a part time deputy Marshall with the Brice Police Department, Auxiliary officer with the Millersport Police Department, and in 2013 he had volunteered as an Auxiliary Officer for the Lithopolis Police Department. Eric's family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Grove City Church of the Nazarene, 4770 Hoover Road, Grove City, Ohio 43123, where his Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Interment with full honors, will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lockbourne, Ohio. SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL has been entrusted with his services. We will remember Eric always walking into church at St Luke's with a smile on his face. As a family of 3 Eagle scouts and 38 years in law enforcement we understand Eric's desire to protect and serve and thank him. His loss is tragic and heartbreaking and we pray God gives Aryn, his children, family and friends the strength they need to move through this difficult time.
