To The Eberhardt Family,
I knew Steve many years ago as Program Director of the Salesian Boys Club from 1974-1980. My memories of Steve was that he was the life of the Boys Club. He always had you laughing and the place happening. He loved Salesian Boys Club and Salesian Boys Club loved Steven. A few year back, Steve had asked for pictures of our time in Columbus, which I was happy to send whatever I had. May he rest in God's loving peace! Know of my prayers for his repose and for the family during this time of sorrow.

To Nannette & the Eberhardt Family,
I just saw Steven about a month ago. He was doing fairly well. We've known him for a long time. When I think of Steven I remember him & Marty always playing basketball. His warm heart was his signature, along with his laugh and always great conversation. I know we will all miss him greatly, but I'm so thankful he is the palm of Gods' hands and at peace. I pray that God strengthens you (the family) during his going home celebration and afterwords. Turn it over to the comforter. He will supply all your needs.
God Bless,
Mr& Mrs. James & Carla McCreary,
our mom & the rest of the Taylor Family: Arleen, Kim, Carol and Denise.

To the family and friends of Steve:
I knew Steve years ago as the Director of the Salesian Boys Club. We always had a good relationship which deepened after the accident. He and his friends were always a good influence at the club and I always looked forward to their participation or simple presence. As I e-mailed Tom Schlueb, he became an inspiration to me personally and, for several yaers after I left Columbus for Boston, I made a point to stop by and visit with him while on vacation days in Dayton. Unfortunately, as I distanced myself more and more from Columbus, I lost contact with Steve; but he always remained in my memory and prayers. I offer to all of you my condolences and prayers; and may God's grace, peace, and love remain with you always. May Steve rest in the arms of Our Lord.

Steven,
You were always a bright part of my life. You and your family were always so nice to me. We had many, many great times together, that I will always remember and cherish. You will be greatly missed and will always be in my heart, thoughts and prayers. You were one of my best friends, (in fact my very first), going back over 40 years. And, you always will be throughout all eternity. Rest in peace, and thank you for showing us the way to Heaven.
Your eternal friend, Tom Cat
