I just heard about Suzy's death. ALthough we have not seen each other in years, I will always treasure special childhood memories. We had such fun together cheering on our beloved "Cardinals." I appreciate hearing about Suzy' death. I had lost track of her personally since I am not involved with the registry or treatment staff at Cilldren's at this time.
Susy was particularly special to me since she one of the first to receive the right medicine in the right way to rid her of her cancer. I have a picture that I treasure taken of her when she was workiing in the Hematology/Oncology section of the staff. I conatined to be amazed at her energy and stri\ving for a full life. I saddens me that it was cut short I would be pleased to have the opportunity to talk to anyone in her family to review my experiences with her treatment and follow-up.
Her life is a testomony of good things- and should be a life long encouragements to her children and husband.
Sincerely
William Al Hewton Jr,m M.D.

Sue Benford was a very smart lady with such a wide range of interests. I have fond memories of working with her on scientific measurements at the Polarity Center and elsewhere. She was also a very fine person and a devoted mother to her children. For those reasons and more, I honor her memory here.
