Susan Leonard Obituary
1949 - 2017
Susan A. (Limes) Leonard, age 68, passed away at home on December 9, 2017. She was born on September 1, 1949 in Columbus and was the first born daughter of the late Ralph and Jerry Limes. Susie, as she was known to her family, graduated from Whetstone High School in 1967 and later from The Ohio State University. Although she lived in Columbus for the past 26 years, she spent many years residing in Texas, Chicago, New York City and Rome, Italy. Susie had a lifelong passion for art and was an art teacher for the Columbus Public Schools. She attended the North Columbus Friends meeting and was an active member of the community. Susie was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews and a wonderful and giving friend to many. She will be greatly missed by her sisters and brother. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by special friend JR, and her brother-in-law Don. She is survived by siblings, Cindy, Carol (Rick), Linda, Don (Ellen) and Lori (Dale); nieces and nephews, Brad (Sarah), Derek (Emily), Jake (Amy), Corey, Randy (Karli), Erin, Rachel, Kate and Nick; as well as many great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 20 at HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 S State St, Westerville. Calling hours will begin at 10:30 am with the memorial service following at noon. The family requests any donation be made to the American Diabetes Association, 10200 Alliance Rd, Suite 101, Cincinnati, OH 45242.
