I only just learned today of Terry's passing. Your family was in my thoughts today, so I looked y'all up, wondering how everyone was doing. Terry & Renee were like the parents I'd always dreamed of. They took me into their home as their daughter and showed me what a real family looked like. I had never had a positive male role model in my life until I met him. I will never, ever forget the impact your family had in my life. Thank you for being a part of it, even if only for a short while. I am so sorry for your loss.

Smales Family,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. Terry was always so helpful around the Horizons Office and many times put others needs before his own. I will, and do, miss him and his kind ways. God Bless.

Smales Family, I didn't know you all very well but in the short time I came to know you while I cared for Terry in the hospital I could see what a wonderful loving and caring family you had. You were all so heart warming and Terry was very blessed to have such a good family. I lost my dad to nearly the same illness exactly 7 years to the day that Terry died and I still miss him very much. Terry kind of reminded me of my dad. My prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. May God comfort and bless you all.
