Thomas Sarnes Obituary

SARNES Thomas R. Sarnes, 84, of Columbus, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, in his home. He was born October 1, 1920, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Roland R. and Mary Ellen (Ralph) Sarnes. Survivors include his daughter, Flota Pearl Cox of Port Clinton, OH; sons, Thomas William (Sue) Sarnes of Johnstown, OH and Ronald L. (Gerri) Sarnes of Pickerington, OH; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Jane Sarnes, daughter, Marilyn Heisler, two infant grandsons, one infant great grandson, and one brother. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2005, in the ROBINSON-HENN-BROSSIA & WALKER FUNERAL HOME, Oak Harbor, OH, with family present 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The Port Clinton Moose Lodge will hold a service at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Christy Chapel Cemetery, Port Clinton, with a military graveside by the Port Clinton VFW. The family has suggested memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or Mt. Carmel Hospice, Columbus. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
