Thomas Wilson Obituary

Wilson Thomas L. Wilson, 62, of Pataskala, OH, died Tuesday night, March 11, 2014 after a difficult battle with cancer. He has won that battle he is completely healed now. Tom was born December 13, 1951 in Shelby, OH to Leonard and Marlene (Hunter) Wilson. He graduated from Ontario High School in 1970 and has worked at Worthington Industries in Columbus for the past 39 years, making many friends. His love for animals and the outdoors was life-long. Over the years, pets included much more than dogs and cats! Being 'away from it all' out in nature was his favorite pastime. Tom also loved working with his hands. He was an amazing woodworker, enjoyed making candles, and appreciated painting in the past. Tom was preceded in death by his parents. He is loved and survived by his children, Michael Wilson of Mansfield, OH, Jonathan Wilson of Salisbury, NC, Jack Wilson of Alexandria, OH, and Carrie Wilson-Wallace of Reynoldsburg, OH; grandchildren, Alexa and Landen Wilson; sisters, Jean Steiner, Deb Post, Marilou Lamb, and Janet Wilson-Behrendsen; and his beloved dog, Sadie. Calling hours will be at HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 S. State St., Westerville, OH, Saturday, March 22, 1-3 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow from 3-3:30 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to attend Tom's Life Celebration Dinner at 4 p.m. at the Jersey Twp. Hall, 1481 Mink St., Pataskala, 43062. Please send flowers to Hill Funeral Home. Or please donate in his name to the Licking County Humane Society, or the American Cancer Society.
