Timothy Specht Obituary

Specht Timothy Michael Specht, age 57, died Thursday, December 5, 2013. Born in Columbus, Ohio, August 28, 1957. Attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help grade school and later attended South High School where he met and made many lasting friendships. Tim loved the outdoors, and was an avid painter and wood worker. He leaves to mourn his loss: his mother and step-father, Barbara Dempsey Specht and Jim Halleran; his brother, Mark (Megan) Dempsey; uncles, James (Diane) Dempsey, Jerry (Shelly) Dempsey; and aunt, Mary Dempsey; nieces and nephews, Dan, David, Allison, Celia, Conor, Michaela, Mary Kate; cousins, Doug Dempsey, Debbie (Steve) Rowe, and Relli-Dempseys, Vincent, Emily and Nicholas; and numerous friends .Tim was preceded in death by his father Terry Specht, his sister Michelle "Shelly", brothers Daniel, and David, his cousin James "Beau" Butler, grandparents Cyril and Ann Specht, Edward and Lenora Dempsey. Tim dealt with his cancer with courage, acceptance and honesty. Special thanks to caregivers Tim Roney and Vitas Hospice. A memorial mass will be held, Tuesday evening , Dec. 10, at 5:30 p.m., St Mary's Church, German Village. Tim was a dear son, brother and friend, who will be missed.
