The saying is: "The flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long." Well, Ty burned six times as bright with his unbounded energy and enthusiasm. And although his life was much too short, it was certainly happy thanks to Rick, who tirelessly channeled all of that energy into productive and meaningful activities without compromising Ty's unique personality, and Nick, who could have been jealous of the time Ty required but was, instead, the generous and protective big brother he needed. More recently, Cindy added her special touch to Ty's life, developing a secret bond with him that was heartwarming to watch. God has now called Ty to His side, where He and Cindy will welcome the kid with the infectious smile and boundless energy with loving arms. And for the family and friends left with such a terrible void, hopefully we can take comfort in knowing that, although Ty's flame has burned out on earth, it will shine on in our memories and in heaven.

As I remember back to when our family first moved to Grove City over on Windsor 8 yerars ago, I refelect on some very happy memories of this awesome, smiling kid riding around on his bike carrying a baseball bat. I also reflect back to when my youngest child was just a baby and he just loved coming in the house to see her and watch her eat and say "Hi Little Baby". Gosh how he seemed to love babies...
As I think back - there were plenty of smiles and laughter in our home and around our neighborhood when Tyler was around. I will remember him for yes, his smile - but also for his amazing ability to make ME smile.

Rick, God bless you and your family - you raised an amazing set of young men.
