Virginia Baptista Obituary

BAPTISTA (Rinella) Virginia "Jean" Baptista (Rinella), age 95, born in Columbus, passed away on October 17, 2011. The daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Rinella. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill. She was also preceded in death by sisters Ann (Paul) Capone, Rose (Tony) Mangia, Cosma (Chuck) Stewart, and Mary (Tony) Purpura, and brothers Gus, Sam (Maxine), Jim (Florence), and Joe (Gussie). She is survived by her loving daughters and son-in-law, Mary Jo Dorn and Wilma and Jim Ulrich. She is also survived by, and was a very special "Nana" to her grand-children, Nick (Leila) Ulrich, Shawn Dorn, Andi (Brad) Tobe, Maria Dorn; and great-granddaughters, Lily and Anna Ulrich. Additionally, she is survived by her sisters-in-law, Theresa Baptista and Mary Baptista; and many nieces and nephews. A very special "Thank You" to the devoted Sisters, staff, and loving friends at the Villas of St. Therese, who over the past five years became her extended family. Virginia loved spending time with her family, watching the Buckeyes, and playing bingo. She will be forever missed. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 3-8 p.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St. Prayer service 4 p.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at CHURCH OF THE RESURRECTION, 6300 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., New Albany. Entombment at St. Joseph's Cemetery Mausoleum, 6440 S. High St. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Virginia's memory to the Villas of St. Therese, 25 Noe Bixby Road, Columbus, Ohio 43213.
