Wilfred Moore Obituary

MOORE Wilfred William Moore, 87, of Grove City, passed away Monday, March 26, 2007, at Monterey Care Center. He was born June 28, 1919, in Youngstown, OH, the son of the late Augustus E. and Rose Anna (Cossler) Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his dear son, Joseph A. Moore and several brothers and sisters. Wilfred was a WW II U.S. Army veteran and served with the Civil Planning Division. He retired as a systems analyst from D. C. S. C. after many years of dedicated service. He was a computer programming specialist and was responsible for the development of the supply administrative software known as SAMS. Following retirement, he developed the computer accounting system for Creative Child Care and Children's Academy. Wilfred was a golfing enthusiast, an avid gardener, a coin collector and an accomplished, self taught sketch artist. He was fascinated by family history he successfully traced the Moore family genealogy back to the early 1800's. But above all, he was truly dedicated to his family. Wilfred is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Audrey; loving sons, Chris, Daniel (Gretchen), Eric (Monica), Tim (Cindy) and Sam (Kim) Moore; precious grandchildren, Kira, Grace, Derick, Joey, Caley, Alex and Max; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Calling hours 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, at the SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where his Prayer Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2007, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3730 Broadway, Grove City with Rev. Fr. John L. Swickard, Celebrant. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery with military honors.
