William Leist Obituary

LEIST William E. "Bill" Leist, age 67, of Canal Winchester, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Kindred-Bay Area Hospital in Tampa, Fla.. Born September 12, 1941 in Columbus, Oh. Bill is preceded in death by father Elroy Leist and brother Richard Leist. Long-time member of David's United Church of Christ, Canal Winchester. Survived by loving wife of 43 years, Mary Jane; son, Mike (Lisabeth) Leist, Lithia, Fla.; beloved grandchildren, Jamie Ryan Leist, Bailey Alison Leist and McKenna Ashley Leist; mother, Mildred (Sines) Leist, Columbus; sister, Joyce Manley, Groveport; sisters-in-law, Linda King, Canal Winchester and Sandy Leist, Columbus; nieces, nephews and many dear friends including long-time friend Bob Igelman, Pickerington. Friends may visit Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester. Funeral and celebration of life services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at David's United Church of Christ, 80 W. Columbus St., Canal Winchester, Oh. 43110 where the family will receive friends one hour prior the service. Pastors David and Beth Long-Higgins officiating. Interment Franklin Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to David's United Church of Christ in Bill's memory. Online condolences available at www.spencefuneralhome.com
