William P. Roach, 76, of Gahanna, passed away unexpectedly on January 5, 2018. Born in Cleveland on March 12, 1941, he was preceded in death by parents, Clement and Elizabeth (Ports) Roach. Bill grew up in Upper Arlington, graduated from St. Charles Preparatory School, attended The Ohio State University and received his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Ohio Dominican. On August 27, 1966, Bill married Mary (Hoile) Roach, his wife of 51 years, who survives. In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his daughters Cynthia Ann (David) Larvie and Christina Marie Roach (Jeff Cook); granddaughters Sara Elizabeth, Lauren Elizabeth and Samantha Marie; brother John Robert Roach, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Bill proudly served in the US Army Reserves and was honorably discharged in 1972. He was a hard working family man. He became an active member of St. Matthew the Apostle from St. Agatha, and was a Third Degree Past Grand Knight and Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus. From 2016 to mid-2017, Bill and Mary lived in Tampa, FL to be nearer to their granddaughters. A visitation will held Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with a 3:30PM Rosary at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 Johnstown Rd., Gahanna. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10AM at St. Matthew the Apostle, 807 Havens Corners Rd., Gahanna. Interment will be held privately at Dayton National Cemetery.
