Charlie and Faffie,
You were still in HS when I met you. I was associated with Green Bay Horse Show, then a nurse for your mum at University Hospital. She recognized how "lost" I looked after the death of parents and grandparents in less than a decade. She and your father took me in as a member of your family. I never forgot their generosity, your love, and how the genuine caring enriched my life. I feel their loss so deeply. With very heavy heart, I will include this late entry. I hold you all so dearly and close to my heart. God Bless.

I will always remember Mr. Siekman as a kind and generous man.I saw him and Mrs. Siekman often when I was Faffie's roommate at Lawrence University and later on as we married and had children. I'm thinking about you, Faff.

Bill and his family were instrumental in forming my life. He and his beloved wife Martha's kindness, generosity and sense of humor, opened my eyes to a new world outside of my local boundaries. I will forever be indebted. My deepest sympathy goes out to you, Charlie and Faffie. We've known each other for over 50 years and you've made me feel a part of your family. Hugs from "Old Al"

1966 Bill and Martha invited me (a clumsy young student from Finland) to their elegant home when our international musical group of "Up with People" visited Appleton.
That was the beginning of a lifelong friendship.
One sign of Bill´s warm heart and open mind was that in spite of the long distance between Helsinki and Appleton he was able to build a very close relationship with me and my wife and four generations of our family trough his faithful contacts through mail, visits, phone calls and e-mail.
The memory of Bill´s warm, generous, gentle, humorous and loving personality will be treasured by everyone in our family and I miss my true friend.

Our families have been friends for 85 years beginning with the friendship of my mother and Martha Siekman as girls. This friendship continued as every year we saw Bill and other family members during the winter months when they visited Florida. We delighted in his, and their, company. He was warm, friendly, loving and humorous man who will be sorely missed by all who knew him, especially those of us who remember him as a second father.
