Amanda Daniel Obituary

Amanda Bethay Daniel, 50, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born on May 20, 1974, to Danny Bethay and Julia Wright Bethay. Amanda was known for her compassionate heart, selfless spirit, and unwavering kindness. A member of First Baptist Church of Tupelo, she lived her life with a quiet strength and a deep commitment to helping others whenever she could. She had a love for reading and a special appreciation for antiques, always drawn to the stories and beauty in things from the past.

For over 15 years, Amanda faithfully served the City of Tupelo as an Office Manager and City Council Clerk before most recently working at Home Depot, where she continued to serve others with grace and care. Above all, Amanda loved her family dearly and treasured her role as "Lollie" to her beloved grandson, Cohen.

Amanda is survived by her two children, Holden Daniel and his wife, Laken, of Tupelo, and Madelyn Daniel of Mooreville; one grandson, Cohen Daniel; parents, Danny Bethay and Julia Bethay; brother, Scott Bethay and his wife, Ashley, of Brandon; two sisters, Allyson Malone and her husband, Chris, of Pontotoc, and Emma Bethay of Tupelo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

A private graveside service will be held at Priceville Cemetery.
