Amber Flournoy Obituary

BELDEN – Amber Dawn ""Fudge"" Flournoy, 25, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice after an extended illness. She was born November 27, 1989, to the late Mary Janet Flournoy and Tim Flournoy. She was raised in Fulton, but resided in the Tupelo and Belden area. She was a member of Belden Baptist Church. She attended Fulton Grammar School, Itawamba Middle School and IAHS through 10th grade. She was a 2008 graduate of Tupelo High School. She attended Itawamba Community College for three years. She was a member of the IAHS band for three years, THS band for two years and the ICC band for three years where she played the trumpet. She loved playing the guitar, playing cards, attending sports/band activities, playing pool and working with children in church activities such as VBS and Awana. An avid MSU fan she loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, and going with her friends eating out and attending movies.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2015, at Belden Baptist Church with Bro. Jim Holcomb and Bro. Gary Gray officiating. Private burial will follow at Itawamba Memorial Gardens in Fulton. Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday, all at the church.
She leaves behind her ""Daddy,"" Tim Flournoy (Tessa) of Pontotoc; her sister, (who was like a mom) Christie Cook (Barry) of Belden; her 2 brothers, Larry Flournoy of Auburn Community and Robbie Cook (Diana) of Jumpertown; her sister, Krys Lambert (Darly) of Jumpertown; her ""Granddaddy,"" James Flournoy of Molton, Ala.; nieces, Lynsey and Amanda Cook, Paris and Paisleigh Cook and Brooklyn Lambert; nephews, Payden Cook and Brendan Lambert; and her stepgrandparents, Laron and Opal Self of Pontotoc. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Olen and Lottie Sheffield, and her mother, Mary Janet Flournoy.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas Luckett, Jay Nanney, Spencer Gray, Toby Gray, Will Rambo, Michael Brown and Eric Crumby.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
