Betty Ozbirn Obituary

Betty Carol Ozbirn, 66, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at her home. She was born August 29, 1957 to the late Herman Gentry and the late Eva Christine Taylor Gentry in Prentiss County. She retired from North Mississippi Medical Center Hematology Oncology after 17 years of service. She was a member of Believer's Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed cooking, where her motto was, "if you leave hungry, its your fault" and was known for always being willing to help those in need and being a family person.

Celebration of Life will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday August 17, 2024 at CrossRoads Church in Fulton. Burial will be in Sandy Springs Cemetery.

Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

In addition to her husband of 50 years, Bobby Ozbirn, she is survived by her sons, Andy J. (Shena) Ozbirn of San Antonio, TX, and Justin A. Ozbirn of Fairview; grandchildren, Kailyx M. Ozbirn, Kaleah L. Ozbirn, and Carson A. Ozbirn; 1 sister, 5 brothers, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Eva Christine Gentry.
