Billy Whitlock Obituary

TRINITY, N.C. – Billy Joe Whitlock, 43, died November 8, 2014, at his home. Born May 18, 1971, in Nicholas County, West Virginia, he is a son of Larry Joe Whitlock and the late Deborah White Whitlock. He received a degree in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia Tech and for the last 15 years worked at Future Foam as an advanced engineering operations manager. Joe was much loved by employees and his employers. He was an animal lover and enjoyed all sports, especially football and his beloved West Virginia Mountaineers.
Joe is survived by his wife, Jackie McMurry Whitlock of the home; a stepdaughter, Rose Young of Saltillo; his father, Larry Joe Whitlock, and grandmother, Camilla Whitlock, both of Summersville, West Virginia. Also surviving are a sister, Angie Whitlock, and a brother, Brian Scott Whitlock, both of Summersville, West Virginia; and his three dogs, Dixie, JoJo and Abbey.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Billy Joe Whitlock will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, N.C. The family will greet friends following the service. The members of the Future Foam Pour Line and Wayne Temple will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to thank the American Red Cross and the neighbors for their help and support during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be given to the American Red Cross, 815 Phillips Avenue, High Point, NC 27262.
