Blanche Speck Obituary

Blanche Roberts Speck, age 92, died Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Longwood Nursing Facility in Booneville. She was a member of the Ingram Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, playing dominoes, and going to church. Services will be Monday, July 21, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. John Cagle officiating. Burial will be in the Ingram Church Cemetery. Survivors include three sisters, Mary Harbor of Amory, Joyce Copeland & Roy of Baldwyn, and Anne Porter & Frank of New Albany. Great-niece and caregiver, Cassie Gillette & James. Seven nieces, Sherry Land and Dudley, Melba Standford & Ricky, Crystal Dickey, Bridget Covington, Lisa Abel, Pam Abel, and Vickie Cox. Three nephews, Randy Copeland, Joe Rogers & Marie, Ernie Roberts, and host of great-nieces and nephews, as well as, great-great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Emma Thompson and Ervin Julius Roberts, husband, Levi Speck, Jr., sisters, Clara Rodgers and Evelyn Miller, brother, Julius Roberts, a niece, Carol Gillette, and two nephews, Kenney Roberts & Jeff Speck. One sister-in-law, Jean Speck, and one brother-in-law, James Allen Speck. Pallbearers include Eric Gillette, James McCoy, Clint Galyean, Maverick Galyean, Rook Galyean, Ricky Stanford, and Brent Stanford. Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watersfuneralservice.com.
