Catherine Wright Obituary
SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA - Catherine S. Ray Wright, 92, died July 3, 2016, at home surrounded by her family. She was born April 19, 1924, in Haynes, Arkansas to Claude and Georgia Maples Ray. Catherine was raised in Monroe County Mississippi. She married Thomas Braston Wright and was married for 53 Years. They resided in Aberdeen, Mississippi for 15 years. She relocated to Lake County Illinois in 1957 where she was employed at Abbott Labs for 31 years. Catherine attended Wesley Church Waukegan, Illinois and volunteered at the Veterans Hospital.
She is survived by daughters, Mildred Hudrick and Margaret (Mark F. Pilman); grandchildren, Lisa Rausch, Mark T. (Jamie) Pilman, Anthony (Jenny) Pilman; great-grandchildren, Savanna, Courtney, Travis, Catherine, Jacob, Kayleb and Rebecca.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon, (Bill) Parcal Ray; grandchild, LeAnne Pilman; sisters, Eugenia Pearce Vivian Cantrell Juanita Corbell.
A celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016, at E.E. Pickle funeral home in Amory. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Gattman, Mississippi. Bro. Phillip Lindsey will be officiating. Pallbearers will be David Crosby, Brian Guin, Claude Cantrell, Robert Cantrell, Barry Wright, Jerry Wright and Travis Tragasz. Lunch will follow at the Bartahatchie Community Center.
Visitation for Catherine Wright will be Friday, July 15, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
