Cethel White Obituary
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Oakdale Baptist Church in Hurricane with burial in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation is today from 2 to 6 p.m. at Oakdale Baptist Church. Glenfield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his daughter, Shirley Dowdy (Michael); son, Charles White (Freda), both of Thaxton; brother, Robert White of Killen, Ala.; two sisters, Erma Hunt, Rogersville, Ala. and Joyce James, Athens, Ala.; grandchildren, Chuck White, Bryan White, Beverly Upshaw, Jimmy Buchanan, Debbie Wolfe, April Johnson, and Diana Dowdy; twenty five great-grandchildren; eighteen great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nellie Grace Robbins White; brothers, Clifford and Dayton White; and sisters, Ruby Pettus and Reba Townsend.
