Francis Evelyn Green McIntosh

1936 - 2025

Frances Evelyn Green McIntosh was born on February 8, 1936, in Wren, Mississippi. She departed this life on June 6, 2025, at her daughter's home; surrounded by her loving and dedicated family.

Frances was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ for sixty-two years. She was a faithful servant who worked diligently to bring souls to Christ. She was an educator and taught at Carver Junior High School and Tupelo High School in Tupelo Ms.

She was an ambassador for the National Council of Negro Women and was instrumental in obtaining funding and resources for the enrichment of the Wren community, especially the youth.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Birdie Mae Green, her brother E. L., and husband of 28 years, Artee (R.T.) McIntosh.

She leaves to cherish her memories:

Her children: Tyrone (Demetria) Hayden of Plantersville, MS; Althea (Winston) Wright of Tupelo, MS; Benjamin (Jasmin) Hayden, Tupelo, MS; Wilhelmina Sykes of Shannon, MS, Joyce (Timothy) Jackson of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Gayle Todd of Wren MS; Michael (Rosie) Hayden of Okolona, MS; Ardessa (Glen) Betts of Verona, MS; 26 grandchildren and a host of great, and great great- grandchildren; cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on June 11, 2025, at the Church of Christ in Verona Mississippi. The viewing will begin at 10:00am and funeral services will begin at 11:00am.
