Your memory is my keepsake with which we´ll never part! God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart Thanks Uncle Rose for always being you! I will always remember the way you would say my name with excitement when you saw me! The last time we talked we laughed and had such a great conversation! You are loved and will be dearly missed! My deepest condolences and sympathy to Aunt Mary and Kiz, and our entire family!

Uncle Rose, I have many fond memories as a child when you would come visit in Detroit with your contagious smile and great sense of humor and I was also proud of your military service.
I also remember when I bought my first home in Florida and you found out you called me early one Saturday morning and invited me to your home in Tupelo. When I finally got opportunity to come and visit, you and Aunt Mary welcomed my wife , mother in-law and my self. I'm so thankful that we spent the day talking and listening to old school R&B. I'm heartbroken that another of my favorite Uncle's has gone home. My condolences and prayers to Aunt Mary and family as you grieve during this time. I love you Rose and I'll miss you phone calls and positive spirits. I pray that you will be welcomed in heaven by our lord and savior.

"Uncle Rose, God´s Joyful One" Tribute
I loved you the way God taught me to love
Not with conditions, not with checklists,
Not with "act right" rules or church-approved scripts
But with open arms, open laughter, and open grace.
Because you were you.
Authentically you.
Unapologetically you.
The kind of you that heaven smiles about.
Your laugh was a ministry all its own
Loud, contagious, unbothered,
The kind that healed heaviness
Without asking permission.
You taught me how to love people
Without judging who they´re "supposed to be,"
Because you never once asked me to be anything
But myself.
That´s God-love.
That´s Christ-in-action love.
That´s Uncle Rose love.
And yes
I will forever smile remembering how you
Could take something as simple as moisturizer
And turn it into a whole sermon,
A whole life lesson,
A whole comedy special.
Only you could do that.
Only you would do that.
You lived with the freedom most people pray for.
You loved with the kindness most people preach about.
You laughed with the joy most people only pretend to carry.
And now
Heaven gets the sound of you.
Heaven gets that laugh.
Heaven gets that heart.
But I get the memories.
I get the last conversation.
I get the love that never had to be earned
Because it was given freely
A reflection of the God who loved you first
And welcomed you home last.
So rest now, Uncle Rose.
Rest in the place where joy began.
I will carry your spirit
The way you carried all of us
Fully, freely,
And with an unapologetic love
That only God could teach...
and only you could model.

"In the words of the late great Nelson Mandela: 'What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead. Uncle Roosevelt-Roose embodied this sentiment everyday. He always made me feel important, special, and significant. I will miss his contagious laughter and fun loving spirit. I will always remember his authentic spirit, love you Unc. Jeff L.
