1939 - 2017

Joe E. Raines 78, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the NMMC. He was a former employee of Penn Tire, City of Tupelo and Columbian Rope. He enjoyed sitting in his back porch swing, camping, gardening and spending time with his family. He was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God.

Funeral services will be at Waters Funeral Home, Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Merle Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Euclatubba Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, the love of his life for 57 years, Evelyn Raines; son, Kenneth E. Raines; (3) daughters, Kimmie Raines McDonald, Connie Raines Berryman (Mark) and Beverly Raines Palmer (Scott); Grandchildren, Jason, Casey, April, Daniel, Clay, Elizabeth, Joshua, Sara and Kelsey; (15) Greatgrandchildren; sisters, Lynn Putt (Perry), Marilyn Easterling (Danny), Kathy Goddard (Jimmy) and Colene Scott; Brothers, Frank Raines (Sandra) and Tommy Raines (Cindy); special ex son-in-laws, David Floyd (Kim) and Norman McDonald.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Opal Hughes Raines; sister, Inez Sears and Louise George.

Pallbearers will be Jason, Casey, Clay, Daniel, Joshua and Matthew.

Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home, Monday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M.
