John Didier Obituary

John Daniel Didier, Sr., 76, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo. He was born November 15, 1947 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Raymond Francis Didier and Ethel Louise McBride Didier. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a retired salesman for Orgill Brothers Inc. in Memphis after forty-five years.

He enjoyed working in the yard and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a University of Memphis sports fan. He was a member of Christ Church of New Albany. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend; and will be missed by all who loved him.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 12:00p.m. until service time at 2:00p.m. at Christ Church of New Albany. Dr. John Snyder will officiate. Burial will be at Vista Memorial Park. United Funeral Service is honored to be entrusted with these arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Gregory Didier; a daughter, Lee Ellen Nelson of New Albany; a son, John Daniel Didier, Jr. (Michelle) of Hattiesburg; one brother, David Didier (Debbie) of Grantsville, Georgia; a brother-in-law, Bill Daniel (Tricia); four grandchildren: Merill Didier, Owen Didier, John David Nelson and Gregory "Guppy" Nelson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Richard Erwin "Ren" Nelson; his wife's parents, Gladney and Ann Gregory; and a sister-in-law, Kay Rinehart.

Pallbearers will be Mike Heffernan, Ben Roberts, Bob Moore, David Duff, Trey McCoy, Ron Franks, Ryan Stephenson, Sammy Burns and Cyprian Ngetich.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Media Gratae, a ministry of Christ Church.
