Joyce Kimbrough Obituary

Joyce Ray Davis Kimbrough

Baldwyn- Joyce Kimbrough was born September 11, 1932 to Melvin Ray Davis and LaVinnie Mae Smith Davis. She graduated from Wheeler High School in 1951. Working hard was a way of life and while picking cotton one year she met the love of her life, William Robert "Billy" Kimbrough. They were married December 27, 1952 and had 39 wonderful years together until his death, December 26, 1991.She loved her family and never failed to show them. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of her life. She enjoyed babysitting whenever she was needed. She was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she served as Church Clerk for many years. She enjoyed singing in the choir and worship with her big church family. "Mamaw", "Mrs. Joyce", "Mama Joyce" are some of the names she held. She was a "Second Mother" to so many. Her heart was big enough to love her family and everyone else's too!
