Keith Smith Obituary
Keith was a lifelong member of St. Paul United Methodist Church where he served on the usher board and as a choir member. He was also a watch care member of New Dimension Community Church. He was a member of the Wilson Chapel Lodge #350.
Keith was a Tupelo High School graduate with the class of 1983. His employment was Action Industry, United Furniture, and Ashley Furniture. He also worked at Tupelo Public School District Security and N.L. Jones Funeral Directors. He loved his Dallas Cowboys and watching Jacobie play baseball.
Keith's legacy includes his wife, Waydean Smith; children Justin (Nikki) Smith, Jordan (Jada) Smith, Jacobie Smith and a bonus daughter Aaliyah Cooper; grandchildren Kenihji Spight, Aaliyah Smith; bonus grandchildren Jayson Shumpert, Stonie Ross, Quenshaud Ross; his mother Canzella and sister Kertina. Keith did not have any biological brothers but he did have three cousins that he considered brothers: Gary, Sidney and Wallace; uncle Zebedee (Catherine) Prude; aunts Sally Townsend, Mary Pulliam. Keith is also survived by his mother-in-laws Gracie Kohlheim, Luedean Freeman, brothers and sister-in-laws along with several cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Keith was preceded in death by his dad, Obie Smith and grandparents Curtis Prude and Iva Castleberry Prude.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church Christian Life Center, 475 North Front Street, Tupelo, MS. Visitation will be held Friday, September 26, 2025 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Life Center. Burial will follow immediately at Big Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Pontotoc, MS. Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.nljonesandsons.com or on Facebook at N.L. Jones Funeral Directors. "A Pillar of Strength in Time of Need."
