Kenneth Eugene Richardson

1942 - 2017

Kenneth Eugene Richardson, 75, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born on March 4, 1942, to Vincent Eugene and Alma Irene Cheatwood Richardson in Tippah County, MS. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force for four years, serving in the Vietnam War; for two years in the Reserves and for twenty-one years in the Mississippi Army National Guard. Before retiring December 6, 1993, he worked for American Biltrite sixteen years; for Tennessee River Pulp and Paper Company for nineteen and one half years; and for Piper Industry for twelve years. He was a member of Heart Song Presbyterian Church in Ripley.

Services will be at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, March 15, 2017, in McBride Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brad Crump and Rev. William J. Connolly. Burial will follow in Tippah Memorial Garden with full military honors.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 14, 2017, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday, March 15, 2017, from 7:00 A.M. until service time at 2:30 P.M. at McBride Funeral Home.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Betty Ruth Studdard Richardson of Ripley; one daughter, Carol Richardson Heavener (Don) of Ripley; one son, Randy Inman (Angie), of Walnut; one grandson, Josh Heavener; three granddaughters, Haley Heavener; Anna Lauren and Ashlyn Inman.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Betty Hobson; one brother-in-law, Gary Hobson.
