Larry Pullium Obituary
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Pulliam of Shannon; daughters, LaToya Pulliam and Sade Pulliam, both of Shannon; two grandchildren; brothers, Leon Pulliam and David Pulliam, both of Houlka; sisters, Annie Gates, Nettie Isabell, Sue Gunn, Glenda Pulliam and Vicki Pulliam, all of Houlka.
Visitation will be at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home, Pontotoc, today, Dec. 22, 2015, from 2 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Poplar Springs CME Church, Shannon, on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015, at 1 p.m. with burial at Thompson Chapel Cemetery, Houlka. Rev. Dr. Clementine Mays is officiating. Serenity-Autry of Pontotoc and Serenity-Simmons of New Albany are in charge of arrangements.

I worked with Larry for many years at Daybrite before my retirement . He was one of the "good guys" and I will miss him . The last time I saw him was when my wife had to get an injection because of her cancer treatments . We were able to hug and give each other words of encouragement . I'll keep a picture in my mind of his smile and courage in the face of adversity as an example to follow . My prayers will be with those who feel pain at this time. May God grant the peace that only he can give .
