Leland Roberts Obituary
BALDWYN - Leland Alfred Roberts, 89, passed away at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility on Thursday
August 11, 2016. Leland was the owner of R & W Dry Cleaners for 41 years, and he was a member of the First Baptist Church, Baldwyn where he served as a trustee and was a choir member of over 50 years.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at First Baptist Church, Baldwyn at 3 p.m. with Bro. Stanley Huddleston officiating. Burial will be in the Prentiss Memorial Garden Cemetery. Waters Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Diane P. Roberts of Baldwyn; son, Dr. Lee M. Roberts (Kelly) of New Albany; stepson, Tom Stephens of Booneville; Siblings, Billy N. Roberts (Betty) of Wheeler and Nona Wayne Lytal of Baldwyn; grandchildren, Christi Collins (Joe) of Baldwyn, Robin Phillips (Steve) of Baldwyn and Lee M. Roberts II (Courtney) of Baldwyn; four stepgrandchildren, Jamey Nail (Carole) of Starkville, Wes Gunter (Jessica) of Brandon, Ryan Harrison of Saltillo and Jennifer Livingston (Price) of New Albany; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Inez Roberts and his parents, Clarence and Valcour Roberts.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Cunningham, Cason Collins, Westin Phillips, Jerry McGee, Danny Bishop Mancil Pruitt, Lee Roberts and Tom Stephens.
Wayne Parks will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Visitation will be at the church Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time.
