Aberdeen- Marcella Morrow, affectionately known as "Marcy," peacefully departed this life from Baptist Memorial- Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS on Tuesday November 4, 2025, after facing a few health challenges. She was 71 years of age. She was on born June 30, 1954 to the late Willie Long and the late Essie Mae Reese. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She gave her life to Christ at an early age. A loving mother and devoted servant of God, she faced every challenge with prayer and trust in Him; and was a member of Baptist Grove MB Church Prairie, MS and later joined Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church Aberdeen, MS and most certainly loved and served the Lord Faithfully. She worked at Sharp Garment (T.I.L) for 26 years and worked as a caregiver for several families and a nurse aide for 22 years. Marcella was a loving wife to Jessie Lee Morrow for 19 years. She was known for her radiant smile. She leaves to remember her love and cherish affectionate memories of children Cheryl Reese of Aberdeen, MS, Rafael (Rosezella) Reese and Vonsha Ewing of West Point, MS and 2 bonus daughters Shauntiene Daniel and Tyesha Haughton of Aberdeen, MS., 5 granddaughters: Quintara Reese of Caledonia, MS, Zesiree Haynes of Aberdeen , MS, Alexandra Fields and Osheuna Reese of Tupelo, MS,and Vanity Crawford of West Point, MS and 3 grandsons: Averyous Fields of Tulsa, Arizona, Rodrick Reese of Tupelo, MS and Jaqualon Crawford of Aberdeen, MS and 3 bonus grandchildren. She is survived by 4 sisters: Mary Ella Everett of Tupelo MS, Mary Sue Reese, Patricia Ann Howell (Robert), Mary Dyson of West Point, MS and 5 brothers David Payne of West Point, MS, Terry Reese (Shonda) of Pell City, Al, Curtis Reese (Nikio) of Benton, LA, Robert Thomas (Frances) and Stanley Brandon of Aberdeen, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles and aunt and in-laws, other relatives and friends and a special friend Ms. Sarah Cunningham of Prairie, MS and a special step-daughter Charlotte McMillian. She preceded in death by her parents, her sons Rodney Reese and Averyous Ewing, 1 granddaughter and 1 great grandson, 1 sister Minnie Simmons and 4 brothers Sherman Brandon, Willie Hogan Jr, Curtis Johnson and Dave Hogan and mother-in-law Susie Anna Morrow. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church, 20622 Egypt Rd, Aberdeen, MS 39730 from 11a.m.-11:45 a.m., followed by Celebration of Her Essence service at 12p.m.
