MARY COLLINS Obituary
AMORY - Mary Lou Collins, 79, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, Mississippi. She was born on April 7, 1937, in Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Tode Warren and Lou Pearl Morgan.
Mary was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, and was employed by the Amory Public School System for more than 30 years. She loved all types of music such as old rock-n-roll music and gospel. She enjoyed talking and joking with her friends. She also enjoyed cooking and eating with family and friends especially during the holidays.
She is survived by her son, Surry (Cynthia) Collins of Tupelo; four daughters, Kaytinna Gerrard of Zephryhills, Florida, Mary Barrentine, Dorothy (Patrick) Gordan, both of Amory, Mississippi and Cynthia Collins of New Mexico; one sister, Ella Jane Hudson of Amory; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, George Collins; son, Johnny Lee Hudson; and one brother, Leon Warren.
A celebration of life service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Darden & Sons Funeral Home ""Susie L. Darden Memorial Chapel"" in Amory, with Bro. Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the United Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 3 to 5 pm. and family hour from 5 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
