As he got a bit older, he began to actively enjoy competing in pool and dart tournaments. Most recently he was an avid cornhole enthusiast. Often traveling to Florida to compete and often win tournaments.

Mike leaves behind his two sons, Michael Shawn Ihle (Cala) of Fulton, and Jacob "Jake" Ridge Spearman of Pontotoc; step children, Gary "Tink" Gann (Samantha), and Channing Holcomb and Tana Holcomb ; two grandchildren, Krista Faith Ihle, and Rylan Elizabeth Ihle; step granddaughter, Ihle Gann Gilmore (Jackson); two sisters, Brenda Kremser (Bob), and Carol Ihle Williams (Steve); niece, Shelley Wilson; and nephew, who Mike thought of like a son, Shane Ihle (Dawn).
