James "Noah" Sheffield went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN after a lifelong illness. He was born on May 22, 2001 in
Tupelo, MS to Greg and Vickie Sheffield of
Mantachie, MS. Noah spent his life surrounded by his family who loved him so dearly. Noah's life may seem short to many, but those who were touched by him understand that his quality of existence far exceeds his quantity of time here on earth. His beautiful smile melted the hearts of those around him and though he never spoke a word, his voice and thoughts could always be heard. Even though his body was small and frail, he possessed strength, perseverance, and the ability to overcome incredible obstacles. With the grace in which he lived his life, he led people to believe that every day is a blessing from God and an opportunity to be thankful. Noah loved sitting in the laps of his Mama and Daddy. He could cuddle for hours. He enjoyed playing with musical toys, especially his "monkey piano". He loved listening to all kinds of music but had a particular fondness for Taylor Swift's, "Shake it Off". He also loved going on outings to the mall or Walmart where he had many friends who were always excited to see him. He will be missed everyday from here to eternity but his contagious smile and love for life will remain in our hearts forever.
