On March 1, 2026, Guy Ann Sheffield from Southaven, Mississippi, passed away after a courageous and prolonged battle with dementia. She was born in Skene, MS, on July 10, 1944.
GuyAnn raised two sons as a single mother. She is survived by her son, Guy Sheffield, along with her daughters-in-law, Angie and Mindy Sheffield. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Kailey, Noah (Lauren), Joshua, Isaiah, Samuel, and her brother Joey Gasparini.
GuyAnn cherished her time working with both the Southaven and Orlando Police Departments. As head of the Orlando Retiree Association for many years, she wrote a newsletter that reached over 400 retirees each month. She loved making lasting connections and was instrumental in supporting those who served their community. She was once awarded Orlando’s ‘Volunteer of the Year’ award by the city mayor. Even though GuyAnn regularly attended the Passion Church in Horn Lake, she also remained fiercely loyal to her Catholic upbringing.
GuyAnn enjoyed writing and traveling. She is now reunited with her parents, Nello and Mary Gasparini, and her son, Heath Sheffield. Her memory will continue to live in the hearts of her family and friends.
Visitation will be held at The Carter Memorial Chapel at Twin Oaks on March 5, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A burial service will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, located in Olive Branch, Mississippi, at 2:45 PM.
