Norma Allen Obituary

Norma Jean Tallant Allen, 75, of Houston, passed away at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice, Friday, Decmeber 8, 2017, after an extended illness. She was born August 10, 1942, in Calhoun County, to James and Ruth Tallant. She had retired from Franklin Mfg. and she was a Christian.

There will be a graveside service Sunday, December 10, at Houston City Cemetery, at 2:30, with Brother Bobby Brock and Brother Randy Rinehart officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 until 2:30 at Southern Funeral Chapel, and will commence with the service at the cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

She is survived by her children, Reba Jean Alford Ward of Big Creek, Ricky Ray Parker (Lori) of Pontotoc, Eddy Parker of Nesbit, Kay Davis (Kevin) and Karen Gorrell (Dallas) all of Houston; her grandchildren Bradley Ward, Nathan Ward, Emily Ward Eubanks, Jonathan Parker, Tyler Parker, Wesley Parker, Hailey Parker, Matt Davis, Mandy Davis Duncan, Kara Gorrell Pettit, Tyler Gorrell, Luke Gorrell; 16 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert E. Tallant (Sharon) of Okolona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Tallant and Ruth Roman Tallant Higginbotham, and her husband Bobby Joe Allen.
