Ricky Wayne Frederick

1960 - 2025

Ricky Wayne Frederick, 65 passed away on October 7, 2025 at his home. He attended Zion Rest Church of Christ. He was an avid horseman in his younger years. He was mechanically inclined "Papaw can fix it" was heard all over the hill. Ricky lived for his grandkids, he could always be found at a ball field, pageant, ball court or cheer competition. "let's go loafering" was his favorite activity to do with anyone, and was never without a glass of sweet tea. He drove a truck for many years and made many friends. He recently took up running rabbit beagles with his grandkids. He always told stories about catching different critters, and just this past weekend brought in two squirrels for the kids to raise.

Funeral services will be held at East Prentiss Baptist Church on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Tony Brown and Bro. Robert Wood officiating. Burial will be in East Prentiss Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Nita Fay Frederick, his sons Scott Bridges (Amanda), Bradley Frederick (Callie) and Zachary Frederick; daughter, Nikki Storment (Heath) and; two sisters Shelia (Donnis) Martin, Hope Cantell and one brother Micheal (Regina) Frederick. His grandchildren Nathan Bridges (Laken), Natalie Storment, Baylor Storment, Maclynn Frederick, Josie Frederick, Tristan Storment Gatlyn Frederick; great-grandchildren Georgia Mae Bridges and Magnolia Jaymes Bridges; Step-mother, Carmay Frederick and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Wayne Frederick; Mother, Odell Johnson Crouch, Step-Father Roy Crouch and Brother-in-Law Red Cantrell.

Pallbearers include Bradley Frederick, Zachary Frederick, Scott Bridges, Nathan Bridges, Phoenix Frederick and Larry Underwood.

Honorary pallbearers include Herman Cole, Ronnie Lindsey, Justin Underwood and Jeremy Underwood.

Visitation will be held at the East Prentiss Baptist Church on Thursday October 9, 2025 from 5:00- 8:00 p.m.
