Ronnie Long Obituary

At the age of 58, Ronnie Houston Long passed away at his home in Mooreville. He was born October 18, 1966 in Tupelo, the son of William Houston and Mattie Louise Spees Long. On May 11, 1991, he married his best friend and soul mate, Karen Britt Long and they enjoyed 34 years together. For many years, Ronnie drove a truck for Action/Lane Industries. His career accelerated his love of old vehicles and attending antique car shows. His greatest joy however, came from the moments spent with his family.

Ronnie leaves behind his wife, Karen Long; two sons, Brandon Long (Amber) of Mooreville and Ronnie Tyler Long (Haley) of Denver, Colorado; granddaughter, Eden Hesselrode; his siblings, William Gary Long, Tony Presley (Pam), Diane Andrews, and Barbara Heaton; niece and nephews, Cody, Ashley, Ryan, and Jamie.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Emilia Long.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2025 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues Funeral Directors.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Long, Ronnie Tyler Long, Durell Lollar, Perry Mitchell, William Gary Long, and Greg Estes.
