Tina Johnson Obituary

BOONEVILLE – Tina ""Tiny"" Stevens Johnson, 79, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Rest Haven Health and Rehabilitation in Ripley. She was born on November 1, 1936, to Sid and Pauline Jones Stevens in Prentiss County. She graduated from Thrasher High School in 1955 and then obtained her beautician license. She was a member of Smith Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. ""Tiny"" enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with her granddaughters.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today, January 23, 2016, at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Leonard Ball officiating. Burial will be in the Mormon Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until service time today, January 23, 2016, at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Joseph Daniel Johnson, whom she married in October of 1956; daughter, Pam Johnson Harris of Ripley; sisters, Venus Johnson and Emma Grove, both of Booneville; granddaughters, Leah Harris Nabors (Robert) of Lakeland, Tennessee, Jill Harris of Nashville, Tennessee; and great-grandson, Ryker Kendle Nabors of Lakeland, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her infant son born in 1958; her parents, Sid and Pauline Stevens; brothers, Cleovis Stevens, Dewey Stevens, Oscar Stevens and Clarence Stevens; sisters, Quay Reynolds, Ina Shook, Gladys Edwards and Vivian Flanagan.
Memorials may be made in honor of her great-grandson, Ryker Kendle Nabors, to the Memphis Oral School for the Deaf: 7901 Poplar Avenue, Germantown, TN 38138.
