Joe McCrary

Joe McCrary, age 92 of Murfreesboro, died Friday, January 11, 2013 at Adams Place.

Mr. McCrary was a native of Rutherford County and was the son of the late Aubrey and Estelle McFarlin McCrary. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sandell Dalton McCrary, who died November 2, 2012, and three brothers, Porter, Nile and Cecil McCrary, and one sister, Rachel Smith.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bro. Julian Goodpaster and Bro. Wayne Lankford will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mr. McCrary was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a graduate of Murfreesboro Central High School and received his BS degree from Middle Tennessee State University. He served in the First Division of the US Army, survived D Day, and was in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a Murfreesboro Business Man and retired from McFarlin Farm Implement Company.

Mr. McCrary is survived by his son, Dalton McCrary and his wife Kelly; a grandson, Benjamin McCrary and brother, Emmit McCrary and his wife Bobbie, all of Murfreesboro.

Visitation will be 4 until 8 p.m. Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Steve Odom and the staff at Adams Place.

Memorials may be made to Middle Tennessee Christian School or the charity of your choice in memory of Mr. McCrary.
