I did not Know John well, But he always greeted me with a smile and phenomenal customer service. I have been a customer of Pinnacle for 15 plus years and made a point of going to his drive through because he always went above and beyond and i trusted him. I was shocked to hear of his passing and wanted you to know he made an impression and will be missed.

My name is Teairra Gates and Im a customer of Pinnacle Bank. Every Friday Mr. John would give my little kids lollipops. He always made their day with their treats and would wave good bye always. Our last trip was on 07/3 so we missed a whole 2 weeks going to the bank. Upon our arrival this morning(07/20) I was heart broken to learn hed passed away. The kids saw his picture and asked what happened to him. This was the only time they had not received their treat from Mr. John. They called him their friend. We will truly miss his presence. Thank you Mr. John so much for making Fridays the best day of the week for my babies. The Gates Family sends their love and prayers to the family. God bless.

He was and will always remain an inspiration to my children and i, as he always received us with warm friendship and a happy smile. My children turned to him many times in need of help at the bank and he always made our day better. I will always remember John's great sense of humor and infectious laugh. I had the pleasure of working with John at Mid-South Bank & Trust for a few years. I loved seeing him tool around town in his big white convertible, while having that huge smile on his face. He was a good friend and I know he will be greatly missed.

My sympathy goes to the Pinnacle family at the Memorial Branch. John was always kind and courteous at the bank. We would also see him at car shows with one of his many antique cars. He was always soft spoken and kind wherever you saw him. He will sure be missed!

John was such a kind and gentle soul that I knew since Kindergarten! He was steadfast in what he loved and a constant for his many devoted bank clients. His love of vehicles was so refreshing. John always had a smile ready for me. I never saw him upset or mad. I know he is with Jesus now providing all he meets his warmth and friendship. You will be missed.
