Mrs. Dees was a real sweet lady. I met her when Steve passed away, and was very positively impressed with her. My sincere condolences to her family and other loved ones. Steve was lucky to have such a nice Mom.

Dear Ron and Craig,
I was so sorry to hear of your mom's death. She was a very special person in my life and I will miss her. We worked together for several years at the VA. I could always feel confident when she was on duty. She was reliable, organized, focused, patient oriented, and a good team player. Sometimes she was almost too dependable. I remember how she fretted about the weather in the winter - so afraid snow or ice would keep her from making it to work. I remember how she worked with siatic pain until she finally gave in and had surgery. She brought humor to the unit. What a blessing and a gift that was! She had great compassion for the patients and thier families and for fellow employees. But the center of her world was always her famiily. Over the phone, when we went out to lunch and during break or down times at work, you boys were her favorite topic of conversation. One could tell by the way she beamed when she talked about the two of you how very proud she was of you. You were the center of her world. I am thankful to have known Dee and to have shared so many special times with her. She will be on my gratitude list this Thanksgiving. I know she would want the two of you to celebrate her life with you and I hope that will become a part of your future Thanksgiving days.
