Wartrace, TN
Mrs. Sherry McClaran Read Hobbs, age 73, of Wartrace, TN, died Sunday, October 23, 2016. Born in Bedford Co., TN, Mrs. Hobbs was a daughter of the late Ernest Ralph McClaran and Ruby Ollene Drennon McClaran. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Shelbyville, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Read, Jr., who died in 1999, and her 2nd husband, Fred Hobbs who died in 2010, and a brother, Leon McClaran, Sr.
Survived by two daughters, Tina (Mickey) Read Majors and Dawn (Chip) Read Milliken, both of Eagleville, 3 sisters, Mary Esther Lamb of Rockvale; Kay Smith of Unionville and Cynthia Sudberry of Shelbyville; a brother, Marion McClaran of Shelbyville; 2 grandchildren, Kodi and Kali Majors.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Lawrence Funeral Home from 4PM - 8PM. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 1PM from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Simpson Cemetery in the Rover community of Bedford Co.
