ANITA KIRMER WICHITA Anita Kirmer, 86, died Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. She was born April 27, 1939 at Spearville, the daughter of Frank and Albina (Penka) Kirmer. She was a graduate of St. Mary of the Plains High School and worked a short time at Centel and 1 year at the Dodge City Post Office before going to work at Landmark National Bank where she was a Vice President for 38 years until retiring on March 30, 2005. She was a lifetime Dodge City resident until the last several years when she moved to Wichita. She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Gaudalupe, Daughters of Isabella and Altar Society, Women's Chamber, Business and Professional Women and the Community Concert Associations all in Dodge City. Survivors include: her sister, Carol Brogden, Wichita; a sister-in-law, Darlene Kirmer, Holly, Colorado; numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Norbert & Herman Kirmer and 4 sisters, Berneda Kirmer, Magdelene Freeberg, Sr. Renee Kirmer and Margaret Ann Werner. Vigil service and Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 7:00 pm Thursday, November 13, 2025 both at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am Friday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 901 Central Ave., Dodge City, with Fr. Wesley Schawe presiding. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City. Visitation will be Thursday from noon to 7:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel.
