In 1963 at 17 I came to Dodge City and stayed at Larry's so I could watch his 3 Girls while their mother was in the hospital. I had a great time in Dodge and was surprised at how much Jim Babcock looked like my Father.

The last time I saw Larry was when me, my husband David and my Mother Merle met Larry for Lunch when we were on our way to the Grand Canyon.

Larry lived with my mom and dad (Leo)for awhile when he was a teenager. Mother had a special place in her heart for Larry.

I'm almost 70 now myself and wish I had contacted him again because he was special to me too.

My heart felt sympathy to all his loved ones!

I was shocked and saddened having just learned of Larry's passing. Larry was a classmate and good friend of mine. When Larry was living in Dodge City we used to go "Corvetting" together. I always found that when I was around Larry I just knew that everything would be OK.........it seemed that, very quietly, he was in charge and in control of everything. As the old saying goes "if I was ever in a foxhole he would be the one I would want to be there with me".Although I haven't seen Larry for a number of years I will miss him.
My condolences to the family.

With each passing year, I learned more from and about the man who was my father. He was a man of principle and of character that is seldom seen these days. Everyone he met walked away knowing he was something special. He truly enjoyed his motorhome
(money pit 1) and boat (money pit 2). The man could catch fish in a puddle of water. In the evenings, he could roll Yahtzee's to no end but large straights were his kryptonite. Always the football fan and later enjoyed watching all kinds of sports. He instilled a work ethic that few of us appreciate when we're young but are eternally grateful for with each passing year. It's been my privilege and honor to know him. I'll miss him for the rest of my life.

I worked with Larry for many years at Flagstaff Pepsi. Both myself and colleagues had only the utmost respect and admiration for Larry both professionally and personally. He will always be remembered as a GENTLE GIANT

RIP my daddy. We miss you so much but are so grateful for all the love and memories. My kids couldn't have asked for a better Papa! Loading your truck up with snow to bring down to us desert dwellers. The only house in PHX with REAL snowman in the front yard at Christmas. Taking your grandkids to ride the carousel and slide down the lizard! You gave us your best and we were lucky to have you. Love you so much Pop xoxo

So sorry to hear of Larry's death. Sympathy to his family and friends. I hadn't seen Larry for many years. We went to high school and played football together at Dodge high in 1956-57. He was a senior and I was a junior that year. I played across the line from him every afternoon at practice and scrimmage and he was by far the toughest football player I came up against all year. In our games we played the same position, tackle, he started on defense and I started on offense so in practice we opposed each other. It made for tough scrimmages but was great fun. When game time came I was glad it was our opponent's who had to "try" and block him. We had a good year, won nearly all our games and became good friends. I know you will all miss him very much. He was a great guy.

Will miss spending time with you out on the boat, in the camper watching the Sopranos ( & hearing you snore later on), by the campfire debating who caught the most or got the biggest. So many things. Love you Dad. Here. There. Everywhere. Infinity!! B.
