LARRY WILSON Obituary

LARRY WILSON Larry Dean Wilson, passed away on June 19, 2025 at the age of 86 at his home in Ensign, Kansas. The son of Shelby and Agnes (Katz) Wilson, Larry was born on August 18, 1938 in Kinsley, Kansas. He graduated from Kinsley High School in 1956. On June 8, 1957 he married Dorothy Blount and to this union four children were born: Mike, Randy, Jeff, and Lisa. Larry and Dorothy divorced in 1980. On May 26, 1982 Larry married Marcia Bailey and to this union one child was born: Kimberly. Larry spent his early career working for Cross Mfg of Lewis, for Sherwin William in Dodge City, and Leland Crist Farming in Friend, KS before settling in with J-A-G Construction in Dodge City in the late 1970's. He was with J-A-G Construction until 2020 when they were bought by Croell, Inc. Many can recall him out at all hours of the day waiting on the concrete to be ready for him to cut it, usually with a pipe in his hand. He was a hard worker who enjoyed bowling, woodworking, and small engine repair in his free time. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends around the fire. Larry is survived by his five children, Mike (Nena) Wilson of Kinsley, Randy (Jackie) Wilson of Kinsley, Jeff (Chaslee) Wilson of Holcomb, Lisa (Troy) Rhoten of Montrose, CO, and Kimberly (Paul) Harnish of Ensign; his 11 grandchildren ; 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dennis Wilson, Larned, a sister Ramona Jeffries, El Dorado. His parents, and wife preceded him in death. Graveside Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Hillside Cemetery, in Kinsley Kansas.
